As you are probably aware, physical rehabilitation is a vital part of the recovery process for many orthopedic disorders. We are equipped to manage a variety of illnesses, including fractures, spinal disorders, post-cruciate or FHO therapy, as well as arthritis therapy and weight loss management.
The staff at the Animal Rehabilitation Center of Michigan consists of licensed veterinary technicians and veterinarians that are dedicated to the health and well-being of your companion canine. All staff members receive specialized training in physical rehabilitation.
Of course we still utilize our many top notch treatment tools and skills, such as therapeutic ultrasound and e-stim for pain relief from muscle spasm, post-surgical discomfort, disc disease, arthritis, and many other medical conditions. We often utilize ice as part of our treatment protocols to reduce pain and inflammation in sore joints. Stretching also helps to maintain muscle elasticity and joint flexibility. Each pet's protocol is developed based on age, lifestyle, severity of disease and many other factors. We can also develop a home care program for those pets with less severe symptoms of osteoarthritis.

We encourage slow, controlled, low-impact exercises. This aids in strengthening muscles and support structures without damaging surgery sites or joints. It also aids in decreasing pain and inflammation and increases enjoyment of the rehabilitation process.

Each patient is treated with a custom rehabilitation plan specifically designed for his lifestyle and the injury or illness they are experiencing.

We offer outpatient and inpatient therapy as well as boarding services for our long distances clients and patients that require rehabilitation.
